Tennessee baseball's SEC Tournament run has come to a close.
The 8-seed Vols were hammered by 4-seed Vanderbilt, 10, in the semifinals on Saturday. The game lasted just seven innings with the run-rule going into effect.
This finalizes Tennessee's resume for the NCAA Tournament. Most projections currently have the Vols just inside the top 16 as a regional host.

Tegan Kuhns got the ball to start for Tennessee, but didn't last long. He threw just 1.1 frames while allowing four runs on five hits.
Behind Kuhns, Dylan Loy didn't have much more success. He went 1.1 with three runs scoring on three hits. Just one was earned, though.
Tanner Franklin then came on to eat three innings. He allowed three runs on three hits. Brayden Krenzel allowed two hits without recording and out and Andrew Behnke got an out in his only batter faced.
Defensively, the Vols suffered two errors.
While Tennessee was shutout, they produced just four hits. This was the first time it has been shutout since April of the 2024 season.
The only hits for the Vols were recorded by Hunter Ensley, Dean Curley, Reese Chapman and a pinch-hitting Stone Lawless.
WHAT HAPPENED
Tennessee got the game started by getting its first two batters on base. After drawing consecutive walks, the Vols couldn't take advantage, though. The next three batters all struck out swinging.
Vanderbilt struck first in the bottom of the inning. Thanks to a pair of singles, the Commodores plated a run to go up 1-0.
After another rough inning at the plate for UT, the Commodores hammered Tennessee in the bottom of the second. Vanderbilt knocked Kuhns out of the game after an RBI single, but continued to produce off Loy.
By the end of the frame, the Commodores had managed to add four runs to their score. The Vols got their first hit in the third, but Loy threw a wild pitch to score a runner before being replaced by Franklin. He also threw a wild pitch to allow another to cross.
In the top of the fourth, Tennessee's bats began to heat up. After Curley singled, Chapman doubled. The throw in got away in the infield and Curley attempted to go home. He was thrown out.
The next damage done was in the bottom of the sixth. With Franklin on the mound, Vanderbilt used a pair of singles to push across its eighth run of the game. After walking the next batter with two outs, Franklin was replaced by Krenzel.
The Commodores continued to pour it on, scoring an additional pair with two outs to grab a 10-0 advantage. This made way for Behnke to enter who recorded the final out of the inning.
Tennessee began to empty its bench with two outs in the top of the seventh. Hunter High drew a walk and Lawless singled. However, a pop-out by Blake Grimmer ended the game in run-rule fashion.
