BRENT'S PICK
The psychology of this match-up is intriguing. Can Tennessee handle success? Can they put last Saturday behind them and be focused on this game? I think they have moved on from last week's win thanks to guys like Derek Barnett, the overall maturity of the team and the way Butch Jones has handled things this week.
On the other side, where is Kirby Smart's team after getting blasted last week by a good Ole Miss team. Let's face it, bouncing back from a rout is a challenge for any first year head coach. It's also a challenge for a guy who hasn't been a part of an in-season rout in a long, long time. In his tenure at Alabama, the Tide had a couple of ugly losses but those were bowl game losses or a playoff loss that ended the season. An in-season blowout with a game seven days later is new territory for Kirby Smart. Don't forget that.
Despite being down three starters on defense, I like Bob Shoop versus Jim Chaney. Shoop while at Vanderbilt had success against Chaney's Tennessee offenses.
Most importantly, I like Tennessee in the line of scrimmage in this match-up. Georgia has struggled getting after the quarterback with only one sack in two SEC games and only three total tackles for loss against Missouri and Ole Miss. On the flip side, the Georgia offensive line has given up 12 sacks this season including 7 the last two weeks.
I think Tennessee can win in the trenches. I also think Tennessee could have some success in the return game as well.
Now, I think Georgia will show and play better than they did a week ago. That would have been and interesting game in Oxford if the Bulldogs had caught the ball early.
So I believe this game will be closer than many think.

ROB'S PICK
Georgia is 3-1 but that record could easily be reversed. The Bulldogs looked like a team in disarray last week against Ole Miss, falling behind 45-0 before getting some garbage time offense to make it a 45-14 final.
Nick Chubb’s health status remains up in the air, which is a big concern with a freshman quarterback under center. Jacob Eason looks like he has the tools to be the best quarterback in the SEC down the road, but that day hasn’t arrived just yet and he has an offensive line that may not let him make it through this season injury free.
If Georgia can’t run the ball with authority, and with Chubb’s status in doubt there’s little reason to think they can, then it could be a long day for Eason against a Tennessee front that’s coming off a dominant second half against Florida. Eason’s effectiveness as a passer goes way down when he’s under pressure, and he’s seen plenty of it in his three games as the starter, completing less than 55% of his throws.
Offensively, Tennessee looked like it found something in that second half against the Gators. Josh Dobbs was out of his mind in that half, throwing for four scores and running for another. Now, don’t expect him to suddenly start completing 75% of his passes and dropping exquisite bombs with regularity, but clearly that performance—from both he and the receivers—is something to build on.
The Vols offensive front is coming off its best performance of the season but it still looks like a work and progress. Fortunately for the guys in Orange, this Bulldog defensive front hasn’t looked capable of forcing the issue against anyone, registering just one sack in two games against SEC teams.
Assuming Tennessee doesn’t have a Florida hangover, and we’ve seen no reason to think that’s the case, the Vols look poised to get their first win in Athens since 2006. They’ll need to take care of the football, and make sure that Eason doesn’t drop anything over their heads, but after last week’s performance from both sides against high level SEC competition, these look like two teams headed in opposite directions.

PAUL'S PICK
Tennessee and Georgia come into the game riding two different waves. The Vols are on a high after a second half beatdown of the Gators while UGA was on the wrong side of their own beatdown at the hands of Ole Miss.
But, this is a strange series. A number of times the team you didn't expect to win has come out on top in the last 16 years. I don't say that because I'm picking Georgia, but I am saying that because this game has a weird feel to it.
Georgia has looked shaky on its way to a 3-1 start, barely beating FCS opponent Nichols State and needing a fourth down touchdown to win at Missouri. Nick Chubb isn't 100 percent and Georgia's starting a true freshman quarterback, albeit a very talented one, who has been up and down.
The 'Dawgs' offensive line is a mess and on defense they have failed to generate an consistency, despite forcing a good number of turnovers.
If Tennessee can find any consistency they should win this game by double digits, but consistency isn't exactly Tennessee's strength.
But, Tennessee is the better team and if the Vols can carry anything over, execution-wise, from the second half of the Florida game I just think it's hard to imagine a scenario where Tennessee loses.
Even with a somewhat weird feeling about it, I just think Tennessee wins even if it is tougher than it looks on paper.

AUSTIN'S PICK
Old Captain Jack is back for another week! How about Josh Dobbs last week? That guy played like the Kraken sinking the Gators' ship. That throw to Josh Malone was by far the best of his career. No skip in the stride and once Malone caught the ball, it was OVER! Can this team handle the success? Can they emotionally get past the Florida win? I say yes because this team is embracing the role of favorite.
The offense is going to have to get Alvin Kamara more involved. I say it every week, but at some point he will break out. Maybe this is the week. Tennessee develops more playmakers by the week. Two weeks ago, it was Jason Croom coming up with big catches and last week, Jauan Jennings. This week, I'm calling for Tyler Byrd and Josh Smith to come up clutch in the middle of the field.
Lots of props to Colton Jumper last week. There were a lot of doubters with him filling in for Darrin Kirkland and I was one of them. He really played well, but there is no rest for Jumper. I love how Baylen Buchanan continues to play. I also want to give a lot of credit to Emmanuel Moseley. He was terrible two weeks ago and man he was much better last week.
Georgia is still Georgia and they could easily beat Tennessee, but the Vols aren't scared of the Bulldogs. I'll keep to the "code" because it's a "Winner's life for me" and the Vols.
