Tennessee finalizing deal with DC Jeremy Pruitt

Following a second interview Wednesday in New York City, Tennessee has tabbed Jeremy Pruitt as their next head football coach.

According to VolQuest.com sources, the deal has been ink as the two sides are completing final details. Both sides expect to officially announce Pruitt as the Vols new head man. Pruitt’s is expected to coach the Tide's defense in the College Football Playoffs according to sources.

On Tuesday, new athletics director Phillip Fulmer met with Auburn defensive coordinator Kevin Steele and Georgia defensive coordinator Mel Tucker for the second time face-to-face in NYC, and per sources, both parties were informed of the offer to Pruitt on Wednesday night. Fulmer also interviewed SMU's Chad Morris on Monday. Morris didn't get a second interview.
