The 6-foot-4, 315 pound Lampley, whose father Brad played at Tennessee in the 1990s, was a four star prospect out of Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville in the 2019 signing class.

He appeared in two games as a freshman in 2019 but took a redshirt season in 2020 and did not see the field.

Lampley played in 12 games as a redshirt sophomore in 2021, accounting for 86 offensive snaps in a backup role and splitting time on the goal unit.

During his redshirt junior year, Lampley played 83 offensive snaps over 12 games, allowing no quarterbacks hits and one pressure during Tennessee’s 11-2 campaign in 2022.

Lampley saw his most significant action in 2023, playing 12 games and making his first career start vs. Vanderbilt Nov. 25. He totaled 153 offensive snaps.

In five seasons, Lampley has appeared in 37 games, including 35 of the last 36.

Lampley provides more experience and depth to the Vols’ offensive front which will return multiple starters next season.

Center Cooper Mays and tackle John Campbell Jr. announced their intentions to return in 2024 last week while tackle Dayne Davis made his announcement on Thursday.

Tennessee is still awaiting starting guard Javontez Spraggins’ decision.
