After splitting its last two regular season games, Tennessee fell in the post-regular season Associated Press Top 25 on Monday.
The Vols (25-6, 12-6 SEC), who lost on the road at Ole Miss by two before beating South Carolina, 75-65 in their home finale last Saturday, dropped four spots to No. 8 ahead of the SEC Tournament in Nashville later this week.

Auburn tumbled from its No. 1 ranking to No. 3 after back-to-back losses, while Florida jumped to No. 4.
Alabama climbed back into the top 5 at No. 5. Texas A&M and Kentucky both made gains, moving up to No. 14 and No. 15, respectively.
Missouri fell to No. 21.
The Vols are the 4-seed in the SEC Tournament, behind 1-seed Auburn, 2-seed Florida and 3-seed Alabama.
With the double-bye, Tennessee is slated to play Friday against either 5-seed Texas A&M, 12-seed Vanderbilt or 13-seed Texas at Bridgestone Arena (3:30 p.m. ET, SEC Network).
Tennessee was a combined 3-1 vs. those teams during the regular season, splitting games against Vanderbilt and beating borth Texas and Texas A&M on the road.
