Vols: 2-seed (Midwest)

Headed into the SEC Tournament championship, Joe Lunardi said he didn't expect the result to change no matter the result. This placed Tennessee as a 2-seed in the East region while Florida grabbed the final 1-seed.

The Vols are projected to open the tournament in Cleveland against 15-seed Robert Morris. The winner gets the winner between 7-seed Gonzaga and 10-seed VCU.

If Tennessee can make a third-straight Sweet 16, it'd likely be a matchup with 3-seed Iowa State and 6-seed Ole Miss.

Other top seeds in the region on the path to an Elite Eight are 1-seed Duke, 4-seed Maryland and 5-seed BYU.

Tennessee is up 13 SEC teams projected to make the field. This is the most out of any conference.

Lady Vols: 5-seed (Region 2 Spokane)

After a poor stretch to end the regular season, the Lady Vols are projected to just miss out on being a 4-seed which would place first round games in Knoxville.

Instead, Tennessee is on track to be a 5-seed in Region 2 Spokane, according to ESPN's projections. This puts the Lady Vols in Waco, Texas for the opening pair of games.

Game one would be against 12-seed Grand Canyon. It is coached by Molly Miller who is getting serious looks at SEC jobs this off-season.

A win would place Tennessee against the winner of 4-seed Baylor and 13-seed Montana State.

If the Lady Vols earn a spot in the Sweet 16, Tennessee would travil to Spokane, Washington. It is paired up with 1-seed UCLA, 8-seed Utah and 9-seed Creighton for that round.

Other top teams possible to be met in the Elite Eight are 2-seed Notre Dame and 3-seed Florida State.

Tennessee is one of 10 SEC teams projected to make the field. This only trails the Big Ten in representation from a conference.
