Tennessee baseball is requesting fans to wear orange this weekend vs. Vanderbilt.

For game two of the series against the Commodores on Saturday, the 'Orange Out' will be in affect.

First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET and will air on ESPN2.

This comes after Tennessee coach Tony Vitello mentioned the effect a home crowd can have on a baseball game.

"(Tennessee fans) elevated us. In that extra inning situation, it was like sudden death baseball," Vitello said on Sunday after the series loss to Auburn. "And you got Liam (Doyle) pitching. They were obviously juiced and I think they affected the game and put us over the edge. And we can’t rely on the fans to play well or be focused, but I think in close situations, which SEC ball more times than not brings up, they put us over the edge in the past and they can do that in the future. So, it’d be nice if we’ve got a regular schedule, the normal Lindsey Nelson Stadium."

While it was Doyle that got the crowd pumped on Sunday, it'll likely be Marcus Phillips who gets the ball for Tennessee on Saturday. This season, he has started game two of every weekend series played.

Phillips, in 12 starts, has a 3-3 record and 3.02 ERA. He has pitched 59.2 innings while only allowing opponents to hit .211 for 20 earned runs.

He is currently the No. 69 MLB draft prospect on MLB Pipeline.

Tennessee will also place Vanderbilt on Friday and Sunday. Game one is set for 5:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network. The final game on Sunday is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET.

Before the SEC set, the Vols will be back in action on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. ET to play Indiana State. The game will air on SECN+.

The following Tuesday, Tennessee will meet Belmont for the home finale. That game will be played at 5 p.m. ET on SECN+.

The final series of the regular season for the Vols will be against Arkansas spanning Thursday through Saturday.

The SEC Tournament in Hoover, Alabama, will span from May 20-25.
