The matchups and game details are yet to be determined. The games will be played at the Rangers' home stadium of Globe Life Field.

This season, Tennessee played in Houston at the home of the Astros early in the year. There, the Vols downed Oklahoma State, Rice and Arizona in the Astros Foundation College Classic.

In 2024, the year Tennessee won the national title, the Vols opened the year in Arlington at the Shriners Children's College Showdown. Tennessee beat Texas Tech and Baylor, but lost to Oklahoma at the event.

The Vols played early in the 2022 season in Texas, as well, in the Shriners Children's College Showdown. That year, the event was held in Houston. Tennessee beat Baylor and Oklahoma, but lost to Texas.

In 2020, prior to the shutdown of the season due to Covid19, the Vols played a trio of games in Round Rock, Texas, as a part of the Round Rock Classic. Tennessee beat Texas Tech, Houston and Stanford in the trip.

Tennessee is on track to lose a good bit of talent to the MLB draft after this season. However, there will be a number of familiar faces on the roster still.

True freshmen Manny Marin, Levi Clark, Jay Abernathy and Chris Newstrom have all played significant roles and will be back barring a decision to transfer. In the pitching staff, freshmen Tegan Kuhns and Brayden Krenzel have been big pieces and are in the same boat.

Other players theoretically on track to return include Ariel Antigua, Blake Grimmer, Hunter High, Stone Lawless, Dylan Loy and more. All others outside of Hunter Ensley still have eligibility but most contributors are eligible for the MLB draft.
