On Sunday, Lipscomb Academy hosted the Under
Armour camp series as they made their stop in Nashville.

This series is invite-only and puts the best talent in the country against each other in a combine and other competitive settings.

VolReport was in attendance and these were the top performers based on my evaluations.

TOP FIVE OVERALL PERFORMERS + NEXT MAN UP

1) Haywood (TN) DB Caden Harris

Caden Harris took a step forward during his junior season and has continued that into the offseason. From first glance, he continues to fill out his lengthy frame. He is a fluid player who can line up anywhere in the secondary and cover, which makes him immensely valuable.

During the 1-on-1 portion, he took every opportunity he could and won his reps. He knows how to stay in the receiver's hip pocket and use his length to break up the play. His combination of versatility, length and athleticism makes him valued by programs across the country.

2) Gainesville (Ga.) EDGE Jamarion Matthews

Jamarion Matthews will be transferring to Gainesville High School for his senior season, coming from the state of Alabama. He committed to his former in-state power, Alabama, and it is easy to see why high-profile programs such as the Crimson Tide are interested.

He boasts a compact frame, weighing in at 240 pounds at just under 6-foot-3. During the drills, he was clearly the best player in his position group, showing impressive violence and athleticism. When it came to 1-on-1s he controlled every rep he took against an offensive lineman that I was able to witness.

3) Antioch (TN) QB Andre Adams

While the majority of the quarterback talent in attendance consisted of underclassmen, it was a superbly talented group and Andre Adams was the one who stood out above the rest.

He possesses good size and has the tools to stick at the Power Four level. He showed plus footwork with a concise and repeatable throwing motion, allowing him to be accurate in any throwing window the entire day, including when he had to layer a throw in.

4) Knoxville Catholic (TN) WR Tyreek King

Tennessee fans should know Tyreek King, who is currently committed to the Vols. Coming in at around 5-foot-11, 170 pounds, he is a tad undersized but has the speed to make up for it.

The thing that stood out the most was his understanding of how to set himself up to be a position to get the ball with his improved layering of tempo in his routes. When you add in his body control and ability to get in and out of breaks at high-level clip, he has the potential to be dangerous in the slot. The lone thing that he could have done better was attacking the ball as he often caught passes with his body instead of his hands.

5) Brentwood Academy (TN) ATH KeSean Bowman

It has long been known that KeSean Bowman was going to be one of the top 2027 recruits in Tennessee, whether that was at receiver or cornerback. During the Under Armour combine, he worked out as a receiver.

During 1-on-1s it was nearly impossible for defensive backs to prevent him from getting downfield. The only rep that I witnessed him not bring the ball in was a rep against Caden Harris, where the latter recovered nicely. Bowman understands how to use his feet to set himself up for success early in the route. As he continues to develop, seeing him work over the middle of the field more will expand his explosive playmaking ability even more.

NEXT MAN UP: Lipscomb Academy (TN) QB Ty Snell

During drill work, rising freshman Ty Snell was arguably the top quarterback in attendance. As 1-on-1s began to take place, there was no letdown either with the young standout having some of the best accuracy presented.

As the day continued to go on, he did miss with some layered throws, but that was to be expected with him competing against the best players in the area, who are three-to-five years older. It is just a different speed.

However, the encouraging thing is that he adjusted quickly to get an accurate throw out on the following reps. It is a bit early to project him overall in relation to others, but his combination of size, accuracy, fundamentals and mindset could have him in five-star discussions down the road. This is a player you need to know right now.

OTHER STANDOUTS

Woodlawn (Ala.) defensive back Kejiaun Johnson continues to impress this offseason. I have seen him twice in the last month or so, with a You Are Athlete showcase and then this Under Armour showcase, and have come away impressed both times.

He has great size and length at 6-foot-2 and uses that to be a disruptive playmaker. He primarily plays the safety and nickel back roles, but has shown his coverage ability at these two recent events, to go with his strong tackling abilities. As he continues his spring visits, he sees new Power Four offers routinely come his way right now.

Lausanne (Tenn.) 2027 athlete Lawrence Britt is an explosive playmaker and was able to showcase that as a receiver at the event. Despite being just a 2027 recruit, it was impossible for defensive backs to keep him in front of their bodies.

He is being recruited for roles on each side of the ball at this point in his career, but his future might be at receiver with his knack for explosive playmaking.

Emmanuel Ruffin was truly a dominant force along the interior with an unstoppable swim move. He looked like the top interior defensive lineman in attendance for the entire day. His combination of violence and hand usage makes interior offensive linemen question lining up across from him.

Kentucky 2027 interior offensive Justyn Perez had an overall strong showing at the event. Speaking of strength, his powerful initial punch gives him an instant advantage in pass protection reps.

He can move his feet well enough to mirror the defensive tackle across from him and keep him in front. He can be prone to lunge forward, but as he improves his consistency with staying balanced, he should continue to see his stock rise up.

2026 interior offensive lineman Khalief Canty Jr. had a strong showing lining up at the center and guard. He does well setting his feet and establishing his anchor to prevent the defensive tackle to get through him.

Once that anchor is set, which it rarely isn't if Sunday was any indication, it is a tough challenge to get past him. He also showed strong hand placement and has the size to play any of the three interior spots on the offensive line.

I have been on the Camden Goforth hype train for a substantial amount of time now and his showing at the Under Armour combine helped support my prior beliefs. He is a big guard at 6-foot-4 and pushing 300 pounds and his anchor backs that up.

He is impossible to move off his spot when he sets his feet. He projects best in a man run scheme where he can establish himself on the line and use his traits to stonewall opposing linemen.

YOUNG QUARTERBACKS SHINE

2028 signal caller Kingston Preyear will be following his head coach from Montgomery Catholic to Benjamin Russell for next season, but before that, he wanted to show his skillset at the Under Armour combine. Already boasting five offers to his name, he was someone that I was looking forward to watching and he did not disappoint.

Evaluators were given a real treat having the opportunity to see Preyear and Snell compete at this level at such an early stage in their high school careers. The Alabama native has strong mechanics that allow for him to get velocity on his throws and accurately throw the deep ball into any window.

George MacIntyre is out at Brentwood Academy, but Crews Jenkins showed on Sunday that he is the next man up. He came in undersized, but he just consistently puts his receivers in position to make plays. His touch down the field impressed several evaluators in attendance.

QUICK HITTERS

- A trio of 2026 defensive lineman in Tennessee stood out in Tobja Walters, Nate Fleming, and AJ Westfield. Walters, who plays more of a 3-4 end role at Oak Ridge, showed his raw power lining up inside. Fleming can get stuck if his first move isn't successful but his athleticism and effort consistently landed him in the backfield. Westfield continues to show his athleticism matches up against anyone.

- Battle Ground Academy (TN) has a true gem in 2028 defensive lineman Ayden Woodruff. Around 6-foot-4 and 260 pounds of chiseled muscle, he has the traits to play college ball right now. He is still learning how to consistently win, but the flashes made you salivate at his potential.

- Ravenwood (TN) 2026 quarterback Femi Babalola impressed in another camp setting. The potential is certainly there for him to be a Power Four level quarterback and it will be interesting to see if he can take that jump this fall.
