Tennessee has officially signed French guard Clarence Massamba.

Coming off a season of professional ball with AS Monaco Basket, he is now headed to Knoxville.

With Massamba officially signed, here's what Rick Barnes had to say about the commitment.

Once we identified Clarence as a player of interest, we immediately became excited about his impressive upside," Barnes said. "He is a long, athletic, versatile guard who can really attack in the open court. He is good with the ball in his hands, yet also possesses the ability to excel without it. Clarence has a nice feel for the game and an excellent basketball IQ. He is a hard-working, driven young man who plays with a chip on his shoulder and our fans will love seeing the way he competes."

With AS Monaco, he averaged 9.8 points per game on 45% shooting from the field and 34% on 3-pointers.

Massamba, as a junior, helped lead the Rock School to a Florida state title in just his second season in America. That year, he averaged about 13 points and five rebounds per game.

He is also known for stout perimeter defense, making him a natural fit in Barnes' system.

Along with the Vols, that season resulted in him reportedly hearing from schools such as Vanderbilt, Mississippi State and Xavier.

Massamba is now the fifth member of Tennessee's recruiting class for the 2025 cycle.

The group is headlined by Nate Ament, a five-star who ranks fourth nationally. He is projected to be an immediate starter for the Vols.

Four-star Amari Evans also joins the group as one of the best wing defenders in the class. A presence in the paint, DeWayne Brown II has been the longest tenured commit dating back to April of 2024.

Troy Henderson is also an unranked guard who joined the group in March during the NCAA Tournament run.
