After a week of cold snowstorms came Tennessee's way, the Vols have turned up the heat on the recruiting trail.

This included landing their priority of the 2025 class with in-state quarterback George MacIntyre officially committing to Tennessee over Alabama and LSU.

The Brentwood Academy product gives the Vols their highest-ranked commitment of the 2025 recruiting cycle to date.

MacIntyre has been the top priority at the quarterback position in the 2025 class from the jump, and the staff's recruiting efforts have paid off with a commitment as the focus in the new year moves forward to this class of rising seniors.

Relationships were one of the driving factors in this recruitment, and the four-star really jived with the offensive staff at Tennessee, especially head coach Josh Heupel.

"I love the idea of the home-state kid going to the home-state school," MacIntyre previously told Rivals.com's Sean Williams. "I really like what head coach Heupel has brought to Tennessee. I think he's got the energy back and offensively, when they are firing, they are firing. I feel like when they have all their cylinders rolling, they are one of the most explosive offenses in the country."

On the field, the four-star has all the tools to be successful at the next level, possessing plus size and athleticism, a great arm and the ability to create positive plays for his team.

That athleticism has been in full effect in his high school athletic career, receiving Power-Five interest on the basketball court and showcasing the ability to extend the play and improvise to add extra time for his receivers to get open.

Off the field, Tennessee picks up a clear leader for this upcoming recruiting class early on. Now, as the recruitee turns to recruiter, MacIntyre will continue to attract top-end talent to give the Vols a more serious look.

He has strengthened some relationships during recent visits, especially the weekend of the Georgia game, and will continue to do so at the first junior day of the new year this weekend which will feature an impressive list of top targets.

At the end of the day, four-star quarterback George MacIntyre gives the class a leader both on the field and on the recruiting trail.
