Delayed no more; Jordan picks Rocky Top

Bartow, Florida running back Tim Jordan loved Rocky Top over the weekend. He left Knoxville and was really torn on what to do with his recruitment. Then a 12 hour delay in Atlanta on his way home gave him the clarity that left him smiling and headed for the SEC.

"I wasn't sure what I was doing," Jordan said. "We were in the airport for a long time and we sat down and Tennessee came out on top. They just made the most sense for all of us and what I'm looking for."

So what made Tennessee the right fit? It was a mixture of opportunity meets a certain feeling.

"I feel like Tennessee is home," Jordan said. "I can get better there and they are going to push me to be better as a player and as a man while I'm there."

Jordan picks Tennessee over North Carolina. The chance to go to a "football school" also helped aid in his pick.

"Tennessee is a high level of football," Jordan said. "They are a football school and I want to be around people that make football important."

Jordan was hosted by fellow running back John Kelly. The two bonded quickly and the veteran Kelly made sure Jordan knew they needed help in the backfield.

"The players I was around just made it feel like they were going to help me," Jordan said. "I think that says a lot when he is also plays my position and he was pushing me. He said he will be there to help me and I'm ready to go out there and tear it up."

He'll have the chance to get coached up by running backs coach Robert Gillespie. He likes the demeanor that the charismatic Gillespie brings to the table.

"I like his personality and how he does things," Jordan said. "He is going to tell you how he feels and he isn't going to sugar coat things. I've see some videos of how he coaches and I like how the intensity of him. I can just feel it."
