Fant back on Rocky Top again

Fant has been a regular on Rocky Top as of late.

For the third time in just over a month, LaVergne wide receiver Princeton Fant was on the Tennessee campus to spend time with the Vol staff as he continues to receive plenty of love from the team wearing orange.

"I like Tennessee," Fant said. "I have a great time while I'm at Tennessee. I'm thinking about them really hard. Today was just spending time with the coaches and I feel like I'm at home and that I already fit in."

Fant made the trip up with his teammate Maleik Gray. They spent a good amount of the afternoon and early evening with the Tennessee staff in what was more like a non-formal bonding session.

"I love that we have relationships with the coaches that we can come in to their offices and sit down and chill," Fant said. "It's like we are already at Tennessee. I just think having that relationship is really impressive."

So what does Tennessee do so well in these interactions with Fant? He really appreciates their effort to stick with him after his leg injury last season.

"Everything about Tennessee impresses me," Fant said. "Just to know that I'm going to have someone that's going to be there even though I had the injury made me feel good. Especially that they still love me and want me at Tennessee."

Having been to Junior day just two weeks ago, Fant knew the presentation and was almost like a host for Gray as he took in things for the first time in a while.

"It felt like I was already here playing and I was trying to get Maleik to come," Fant said. "If I ever did (commit) then I'd try to get Maleik to come up here with me. I love it at UT and I love the fans, but I'm still open right now and I'm just waiting for Spring ball and I'm sure before my season starts that it will start to weigh on me to start figuring things out."

The two obviously have a desire to play together at the next level if things work out for that to happen. They have a few schools where the interest from both stands out.

"We talk about it a lot," Fant said. "We both really like Florida State and Tennessee. I think there is a 45-50 percent chance that we play together. Ultimately we both have to do what is best for us, but I think it would be great to play with him in college."

Rivals.com ranks Fant as a 4-star wide receiver in the class of 2017.
