Harrison discusses visit to Rocky Top

Seattle, Washington receiver/athlete Tre'Shaun Harrison made the cross-country trip to Rocky Top this weekend with his parents to see the Vols on an official visit.

Like many who see Tennessee for the first time there's surprise in what Knoxville is like and the weekend in East Tennessee left a good impression on the 6-1, 190-pound offensive weapon.

“The visit was good,” Harrison said. “There were a lot of good things with the football program and a lot of good factors with the school.”

The education part is a key element in Harrison's recruiting.

“What stood out to me was the facilities, the education and how the stood up in the national rankings,” Harrison said. “The food was good this weekend and the coaching staff is impressive.”

Harrison, who is also considering Florida State, Oregon, and Utah among others, wasn't interested in talking about his recruitment and where schools stand including the Vols after the weekend.

“Everyone will just have to wait and see,” Harrison allowed.

Harrison said distance from home is not a big factor for him, but he does have some key things he's looking for in choosing his college home.

“How will it benefit me going there after football is over,” Harrison said. “How well can you network through the football program? How would I be used in the offense and at end of the day what type of people are there.”

Rivals.com ranks Harrison a 4-star prospect.
