Winston announced her offer from Tennessee on Friday. That same day, she announced one from Auburn, as well. The previous Tigers staff had already offered her with new head coach Larry Vickers ensuring the program stays in the picture.

Another pair of schools also offered Winston this past week with Georgia and Texas getting in the mix.

Previously offering Winston were Texas A&M, Mississippi State and Alabama, as well.

Winston plays for Hoover High School in Alabama. This is the same school Tennessee men's basketball signee DeWayne Brown II starred for before committing to the Vols.

As an eighth grader, she earned Third-Team All-South Metro honors and a spot on the Class 7A State Finals All-Tournament team.

Hoover took the crown, winning five-straight titles. This was Winston's second season on the team.

Caldwell and company have proven to be capable of closing deals on top recruits early in her tenure. Tennessee just signed the No. 2 class in the country for the 2025 cycle according to ESPNW.

This includes 9th-ranked recruit Mia Pauldo who clocks in as the No. 4 point guard in the cycle. Playing in the McDonald's All American game with Pauldo were 17th-ranked Deniya Prawl and 20th-ranked Jaida Civil.

The Lady Vols also hold commitments from Lauren Hurst and Mya Pauldo, both ranked inside the top 60.

This combines with ESPN naming Tennessee the No. 1 winner of the transfer portal cycle. The Lady Vols did not lose a game-by-game contributor and brought in Nya Robertson out of SMU, Janiah Barker out of UCLA and Jersey Wolfenbarger out of LSU.
