First-year head coach Jeremy Pruitt's first staff at Tennessee has one VFL on the field coach in Terry Fair. Now Pruitt's support staff is gaining an orange feel as well.

Sources have confirmed to Volquest.com that former Vol linebacker Kevin Simon is joining Pruitt's organization in an off the field player development role. The news was first tweeted out by former Vol Jason Swain, who host the Swain Event radio show.

Simon has been working in the NFL as a scout since 2009 where he started with the Dallas Cowboys and worked there until 2016 when he left to join the Atlanta Falcons scouting department.

Simon first got into the game as a non-player as a graduate assistant in the weight room at Tennessee.

Simon starred at De La Salle High School where he earned All-American honors. He played at Tennessee from 2001-2004. His football career was derailed by injuries.
