Stokes and McRae taken in the second round

For the first time since 2002, the University of Tennessee had two players selected in the NBA draft as Jarnell Stokes was selected 35th overall by the Utah Jazz and then traded to his hometown Memphis Grizzles and senior Jordan McRae was selected 58th overall by the San Antonio Spurs and was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Stokes posted 22 double doubles last season and for his career of 87 games, the Memphis native averaged 13 points and 9.6 rebounds a game. He finished with 40 career double doubles and recorded 337 offensive rebounds.
McRae, who worked out for the Sixers on June 1st, averaged 17.3 points a game the last two seasons and as a senior in the Vols Sweet Sixteen run McRae had 692 points for the year.
