The University of Tennessee Athletics Department has passed the $200 million mark in revenue generation, the school announced on Wednesday.

The numbers are based off of the department's 80-page annual financial data report which was sent to the NCAA earlier this week.

According to a press release, Tennessee athletics totaled $202,097,305 for the fiscal year 2023, which ran from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.

Ticket sales were among the biggest reasons behind the increase. Ticket sales for athletics events increased by more than 13% from $35.1 million in the fiscal year 2022 to $39.7 million in 2023.

Football accounted for $31.4 million in ticket sales while men's basketball made $5.2 million and baseball totaled $1.2 million.

Women's basketball ticket sales were $1.3 million and softball finished with $274,781. All other sports men's and women's sports combined for $200,282.

Contributions to the athletics department were up 90% from $32.7 million in 2022 to $62.2 million in 2023.

Among the increases were concessions and parking, which rose 83% to $12.2 million. The school also reported that royalties, licensing and sponsorships rose 34% to $23.9 million in the last year.

"As we seek to build upon our championship tradition across all sports, generating new revenue is vital so we can invest back into our student-athletes, coaches and staff to give us as many competitive advantages as possible," Tennessee director of athletics Danny White said in a release. "I continue to be amazed by the passion and support of Vol Nation. Reaching these new heights on Rocky Top provides a winning edge by generating resources for strategic investments in student-athletes, coaches and programmatic infrastructure."
