Day brings what Vols need - for now
Sunburned, Butch Jones could only shake his head.
That's because the line to get Tennessee's football coach's signature had begun to form long before sunrise --- sometime in the wee hours of 4 to 5 a.m. Saturday. Snaked through the Rocky Top campus like a Disney ride gone wrong. Jones couldn't immediately recall the last time one of his sons woke up him up at such an early hour.

Youth served as passing game shines
The highlight from Saturday's Orange and White was certainly on the offensive side of the ball with the Vol passing attack. All four quarterbacks had highlights while a suddenly dynamic receiving corp. announced their presence highlighted by a huge day from newcomer Josh Malone.

Help coming
For the Vol offense, spring practice has been about the arrival of a lot of help from running back to offensive tackle, to tight end and receiver the newcomers have had a huge impact on Team #118. For the Vol defense who had their struggles on Saturday help is coming at the end of May and the hope is that it will have the same type of impact that the offense has gotten.

Steady Lane leads talented RB group
According to head coach Butch Jones, running back Marlin Lane has been model of consistency and has worked all spring as a senior is supposed to work.
For the Florida native, it was a senior season that nearly never happened.
