Despite a few players exiting the team via the transfer portal over the last two days, Tennessee received big news from Jacob Warren on Wednesday.
The Vols' senior tight end, who has an extra year of eligibility stemming from the 2020 COVID season, announced that he will return to Rocky Top for another season in 2023.
Warren posted the official announcement from his Twitter account.
Warren is a Knoxville native that played his prep football at Farragut High School before signing with Tennessee as a three-star prospect in the 2018 class.
He has played in 36 games during his four-year Tennessee career, including eight this past season where he caught 12 passes for 163 yards.
Warren coming back is a big addition to the Tennessee tight end room — which loses a major contributor in Princeton Fant. The room will also include UC Davis transfer McCallan Castles and four star 2023 signee Ethan Davis.
