The postseason accolades keep rolling in for AJ Russell.
The Tennessee right-handed pitcher earned his second Freshman All-American honor, this time from D1Baseball on Friday.
Russell was previously named a Freshman All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association earlier this month.
Russell had an impressive season for the Vols out of the bullpen.
Among pitchers who had tossed a at least 30 innings, Russell led with a 0.89 ERA, 0.53 WHIP and .095 opponent batting average.
Russell appeared in 24 games, compiling a 2-0 record and totaling 47 strikeouts while allowing just seven walks in 30.1 innings pitched.
Russell is the fifth Tennessee player to be named a Freshman All-American under head coach Tony Vitello.
